Fixed Departure: 15th - 29th March 2024.
Ghorepani Poonhill Trek Panorama view is a colourful lovely trek into the Annapurna region. The trail winds through patchwork valleys, dense mossy forests and past icy waterfalls where you can stop to cool your face. Around every corner is a tantalising glimpse of the high mountains, whole horizons of which will be revealed to you as you reach the high points of your trek.
This trek in the Annapurna foothills includes walking up to the viewpoint on Poon Hill and offers all the best of trekking in Nepal. Enjoy trekking in the spectacular mountain scenery through charming villages inhabited by some of the different ethnic tribes, the Gurungs, Magars and through dense rhododendron forests full of birds and experience deep sub-tropical valleys. These areas are all set below the Annapurna Ranges with the picturesque peaks of Machhapuchhare (Fish Tail Peak) dominating the skyline. At the climax of this trek, you will climb Poon Hill at dawn to enjoy one of the most spectacular mountainscapes on earth. As the sun touches the snow-capped summits of the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna (8,091m) along with a maze of other peaks, you will slowly see these peaks begin to appear, like magic, before our eyes. A rewarding trek that can be enjoyed by every lover of nature and beautiful landscape.
We start our trek from Nayapul which is a one hour drive from Pokhara. After getting organized we then trek for five days pausing along the way to take in the majestic views of the Himalayas. Stopping each night to rest in homely lodges we will eventually get to a lovely place called Chule. We will stay in Chule for three full days and four nights for our enriching Yoga Retreat with the wonderful background of the spectacular Annapurna Mountain range. Wake up every morning with sunrise view on top of the Himalayan range - you will feel you are in paradise with those views.
After three peaceful days of Yoga and some Breathing Practice and Meditation - we head down to Jhinu Hot springs. This is where you can take the time to explore the area and have a very peaceful afternoon in the hot springs that we deserve, after our long hall trek! The next morning from Jhinu Danda we will trek to Kyumi or Nayapul to finish our amazing journey of a lifetime. Drive back to Pokhara which will take approximately two and a half hours by private bus. Arrive at our hotel and say goodbye to our lovely porters who helped our journey to be more enjoyable by carrying the bags. Have a well-deserved hot shower, relax and be comfortable with nice views of Fewa Lake.
